Delightful street view, well laid out room. Very big bed & good service. Perfect location in the inner suburbs of Kyoto and easy access to a shopping area and a market. Situated only 1 km from Goou Jinja Shinto Shrine.

The vibrant red decor in our suite was eye-catching and created a warm atmosphere. Breakfast featured both grilled fish and a selection of Japanese and Western dishes.

The shower area was quite cramped, and the curtain tended to stick uncomfortably during use. We were disappointed to find the laundry service unavailable on our arrival day with added stress before our checkout. The air conditioning was set centrally in the room, leaving us a bit too warm at night and unable to adjust it ourselves.

Enjoyed the hotel, it is stylish and clean, has unbeatable and excellent location unable to recommend a restaurant. Location: the property was close enough to a pretty shrine on beautiful as well as kyoto can offer. It was just close to Japanese Restaurant Sakai, where you can have lunch❤

Unique Rooms with Great Luxury Experience

I stayed for 3 nights and loved the unique design of each room, with my Executive Suite with a projector and Bose sound system for a perfect movie night. The breakfast spread was fantastic, combining both Western and Japanese options. I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared dishes. The bathroom layout could definitely use some improvement as it felt a bit cramped and awkward after showering.

    bathroom layout

Fantastic boutique hotel near the Imperial Palace. Room 403 had immaculate white decor, high-quality linens, and a super comfortable bed. Each corner felt luxurious, from the plush bathrobes to the gentle sweets left by housekeeping. The attentive staff enhanced our stay, always eager to assist with dinner and spa bookings. Breakfast catered to various dietary preferences and included delicious Western options. The location worked well, being just a short walk to various attractions. The bathroom layout was awkward. The small sink in the separated toilet space made it tough to wash hands conveniently. The shower setup could use a glass door instead of a curtain. Despite this, I'd eagerly return to this oasis in the city.

The screen hotel was super cool, with a nice design and great location. Our suite was spacious and comfy. They had awesome non-alcoholic drinks in the mini bar. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really good. We enjoyed chilling in the room after exploring kyoto, loved the neighborhood vibe!

But the check-in could've been better and the lighting in the room was a bit dim. Some things like the iPod dock didn't work.

    grilled fish
    spacious room
    attentive staff
    uncomfortable chairs
    tight shower

Breakfast at Screen in Kyoto was a culinary delight, with both mouthwatering grilled fish and an assortment of Japanese and Western dishes. Our room, styled in a vibrant red decor, was spacious and had an inviting lounge area. The attentive staff were super accommodating, even allowing us to experience different suite designs. It's a gem!

Showers were a tight squeeze with a clingy curtain, and we were bummed laundry services weren't available on our arrival day.

comfortable suite but lighting could improve

We loved our spacious suite, artfully decorated. The staff were particularly helpful, assisting us with local dining options and providing wonderful recommendations. The spa facilities were cozy, with a relaxing experience after a day of exploring the surroundings. The breakfast spread had a lovely mix of Western and Japanese options that catered to various tastes and was a fantastic way to start each day.

however, the lighting in the room felt a bit too dim at times, making it challenging to read comfortably.
